Camilla Battista Varani’s Canonization

The Aid Society for Blessed Camilla Battista Varani is joyously anticipating the canonization of Blessed Camilla on October 17th, 2010, at St. Peter’s, in Rome. The Canonization will be broadcast live on EWTN (check local listings.)

The soon-to-be Saint will be canonized along with 5 other Blesseds. Among the newly proclaimed saints will be Blessed Mary MacKillop, the first Australian native ever to be so honored; and Blessed André Bessette, the founder of St. Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal. Also scheduled for canonization on October 17 are Blessed Stanislao Soltys (1433-1489), a Polish religious; Blessed Candida Maria de Jesus Cipitria y Barriola (1845- 1912), the Spanish founder of the Congregation of the Daughters of Jesus, and Blessed Giulia Salzano (1846-1929), the Italian founder of the Sisters Catechists of the Sacred Heart.

If anyone wants to send any intentions with The Aid Society as we pilgrimage to St. Peter’s please send them in as a comment on this article by clicking “Continue Reading” below, and filling in the “Leave A Reply” box. All intentions will be offered during the Mass celebrating the Canonization of Blessed Camilla. They will then be sent with the Sisters to the Poor Clare Monastery  in Camerino, Italy.
